This two man canoe was constructed at the Cement and Concrete Association, Fulmer Grange, by me, my children and colleagues in 1978 and raced in the Concrete Society Canoe race of 1979. Bob Wilson and I were the crew and we won.
We knelt astride the convex central feature which was meant to trap an air bubble to reduce hull friction. It did at low speeds but at full speed the air and the advantage was lost!
