A bit is the smallest unit of information expressed as a 1 or a 0. All information on a computer is essentially just a long series of bits. Everything online is stored in bits.

Moore's Law states that the number of transistors per square inch on integrated circuits has doubled every year since their invention.
3. Give an example of how the digital explosion is "neither good nor bad" but has both positive and negative implications.
The digital explosion has led to many amazing advances in computer technology, but has also led to negative things like cyber-security threats.
4. Find and summarize a news article that talks about the positive or negative impacts of a computing innovation. Is the technology itself positive or negative? Or have people used the technology in positive and/or negative ways?
An article on the increase of cyber-bullying talks about how social media technology has been used in a negative way, but the technology itself isn't necessarily bad.
