Auditions
All musicians are requested to audition. Auditions assist conductors in placing musicians in appropriate level group. Auditions will be 5-10 minutes in length. Students will be asked to sight read music, play a scale and play a prepared solo with two copies of the music (one for the conductor).
During the school year, auditions are on ongoing Mondays by appointment at First Presbyterian Church. Ongoing auditions are Mondays at First Presbyterian Church 5:45 pm - 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm by appointment.

Minimal requirements for the respective groups are listed below:
Symphonette:
Students should have one year or more playing experience. Students for auditions should play a music piece that the student is familiar with and comfortable playing. Student should know some musical terms and bowing techniques.
Sinfonia:
Student should be playing for three years and at a Suzuki Book Two - Three level. Student should be able to sight reading notes and rhythms. Students should be able to play a two octave scale.
Symphony:
Student should be playing for at least three years. Students should be able to play a Class A or B WSMA solo or at Suzuki Book Four level. Student should be fluent in sight reading notes and rhythms. Students should be able to play 2 two octave scales.
**Choir:
Please note we are considering a choir in the spring semester. If you are interested in choir, please contact Mary Beth to place your contact information on an interested choir list. If enough interest, choir may resume in Spring 2024.
