We have a new night for fencing and instruction - Join us every Thursday nights from 6:30 to 9:00 PM!
Normally, the July/August class session would have started July 8th, but everyone gets a break until the following week - Thursday, July 15th.
Also, Nick Vega will be your coach for July's sessions, so work hard and ask any questions that you may have regarding any technique that you need to refine or need to understand better.
There's no class tomorrow, April 29th, 2021.
The next class cycle for May/June will start Thursday, May 6th, 2021, 6:30 PM.
I hope you all found a substitute physical activity to fill the tradition-gap of missing our post-Thanksgiving "Fence off the fat Friday"!
Normally, we would have instruction set on a 2-month pattern (Jan/Feb, Mar/Apr, etc.) - due to the city-imposed closure(s) that interrupted our class schedule, that was bumped back by a month, so we just wrapped up October/November, 2020. It wouldn't make much sense to try to do December/January with the middle two weeks of that cycle interrupted by Christmas and New Year's holidays ... so, we'll take a break until January 7th, 2021 and resume our normal scheduling.
Good news! We have been told that Tournament House Gym is expecting to resume activities as of Thursday, Oct. 1st, 2020.!
This means that Riverside Fencing Center's first Friday back in operation will be (ought to be) October 9th! Please plan to join us and pick up where we left off, or finally check off that bucket list item and learn to fence (before the next world-shut-down pandemic hits)!
Aug. 24th, 2020: The city of Riverside, CA has shuttered our "home base" of the Tournament House Gym in Riverside in accordance with the COVID-19 directives issued by the state of California. We're hopeful that the closures directive(s) covering exercise establishment will be lifted soon, so when that is announced, we'll note that here. In the meantime, keep your fingers crossed that we'll be back to crossing blades shortly!
