Our Story

The Rock Hall Yacht Club Sailing School, Inc. (also known as RHYCSS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization. We are affiliated with the Rock Hall Yacht Club, and operate on wonderful Langford Bay, just off the Chester River in Rock Hall, Maryland.

We offer sailing programs for ages 5 to adult. We welcome Rock Hall Yacht Club members as well as non-members in our programs. All of our courses are taught by US Sailing-certified instructors. We guarantee that you and your child will:

Learn to Sail!

We have club boats available for our students. We focus young students in learning to sail the popular and safe Optimist Dinghies; Laser Radials for the more advanced and older students; and Club 420s for double-handed experience. Additional boats are available for adults and community sailing activities.

As a nonprofit organization, we can accept donations of cash, stock, used boats in good condition and we can offer a tax deductible receipt for your donation. Additionally we are looking for items on our Wish List.
