Year-Long Event
The Challenge Ladder is an ongoing event that will take place over the entire year. The intent of the Challenge Ladder is to give members of the club the opportunity to challenge any other player to a USCF-sanctioned chess match. These games are available on non-tournament Thursdays evenings at Reno Chess Club, as side games, or as otherwise agreed.

Time Control: Default is G/90 + 30s (Note: Both players are allowed to agree to a different Regular-Rated time control)
Each player has 1 hour and 30 minutes for the game. After each move, a 30 second bonus is added.Prizes: Prizes will be awarded at the Reno Chess Club Social.
1 Free Year Of Reno Chess Club Membership will be awarded to the:
Player at the top of the ladder
Player with the most games played
The Ladder is initially ranked based on rating; highest rated player will start at the top of the ladder. Then, ladder position is based off all games played.
New arrivals will be added to the bottom of the ladder if they are rated below 1500. Otherwise, they will be added to the middle.
Challenges are first come, first served basis once submitted to Ladder Commissioner.
Challenges can be made, and played, on any night.
There are scheduled Challenge Ladder nights throughout the year that will be considered "non-optional".
