Innocentata Medicalos: Worse than each other
Jenny managed to get into bed after coming back from school. It is starting
to get even harder to stand up and she still hasn't got to the next stage.
John walked in a couple hours later to find her fast asleep holding a pad
with her homework in her right hand. He went to her and picked up the
homework pad and started tucking Jenny in when she woke up.
"I thought you take naps in class?" He asked.
"We do," Jenny answered. "I'm just not feeling so good."
"Are you sure you want to keep fighting corrections?"
"You want me to go through another rejuvenation?" She asked.
"Yes," John said hesitating. "Well no. I mean I think it should be your
decision. I just mean we could always run back to Gorow like we planned, and
you can die there."
"If we win?"
"Yes," John said hesitating again. "I mean... I mean let's pack up your
stuff and go back to Gorow right now. Let's not wait for the court to make
any decision."
"You're worse than Donny. You don't know what you're getting yourself into."
"I can take care of you."
"I'm not talking about me. When I die, you'll be a fugitive and stuck in
Gorow."
"So. I was there before."
"You can't go near star fleet headquarters and everywhere else has either
isolationists or religious friendlies. You wouldn't fit in."
"I'll find a way to entertain myself."
"What if Gorow does not become a rejuve society in time. Are you willing to
die there?"
"What do you mean if it doesn't become a rejuve society. I thought they
planned on never becoming a rejuve society."
"They are just waiting for me to die."
"What?"
"Did you ever wonder how my parents in a pre-rejuve society got a
rejuvenator?"
"I thought friends from the US got it for them."
"I thought so too, till I moved here with my sister and brother. I found out
Star Fleet and the Gorowian government were working on making Gorow a rejuve
society. My parents were the first they wanted to use it on cause they were
so desperate. After what happened Gorow put the project on hold till my
family is gone and they could finish the research to prevent this from ever
happening again."
