We are excited to have Elmar Schmeisser, a local 7th Dan in Shotokan on April 1st-2nd (Fri-Sat) to teach a karate seminar on body mechanics and kata application. Dr. Schmeisser has been training in Shotokan since 1968, and has also been ranked in
Aikido, Judo, Iaido, and Kyudo. He is a Master Instructor, certified by the American Teacher's Association of the Martial Arts, and has a doctorate in Medical Physiology.
Three seminars will be available:
Friday, April 1st from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Saturday, April 2nd from 10:00am to 12:00pm and from 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Cost per class is $15. Cash, check, and Paypal are all options.
Dr. Schmeisser has published two books, "Advanced Karate-Do" and "Bunkai: Secrets of Karate Kata Volume 1: The Tekki Series." Both will be available for purchase at the seminar. You can find his bio at http://ejconsult.tripod.com/karate/etsbio.html
The classes will include uke-waza drills against grabs, limb manipulations, pressure points, an application of and instruction in the kata Arakaki Niseishi. There may also be application of Naihanshi/Tekki I and of the upper Pinan/Heian katas.
