• Amitav Ghosh - Best Indian Writer according to me, His writing creates an entirely different world.

• The Shadow Lines - A must read.

• Rohinton Mistry - Social Realism style of writing, quite emotional, compared to the sorts of Charles Dickens,

• Aravind Adiga - The White Tiger
