LoR

Guidelines for students asking for Letters of Reference/Recommendations (LoR):

  • I will write a LoR for you only if I know you personally - this typically means

    • you must have attended my classes and interacted with me (e.g., attending my class, and obtaining a good grade without ever interacting with me in class does not suffice)

    • you are my personal tutee, and have actively participated in tutoring sessions with me

    • you must have completed your research project/thesis under my supervision

  • If you satisfy one of the above, I would be happy to write a letter for you. When you email me with requests to write a letter, please include the following information:

    • Explain how you meet one of the above criteria

    • Your CV

    • Your statement of application, if applicable

    • A short description (no more than three paragraphs) of your achievements and specifics of interactions with me

I will not send you my letter. So, please share the email address or the link where I should submit the letter.

Contact me at least two weeks in advance of the deadline, and then remind me 2 days before the deadline.
