I was born in Cali (Colombia) in 1980. I did the high school at Colegio Lacordaire. In 1997, I moved to Manizales (Colombia) to follow studies on Chemical Engineering at Universidad Nacional de Colombia . I obtained my bachelor’s degree in 2004. Afterwards, I pursued master studies on automatic control in the same University. I got my degree of Master of Science in 2006. In November 2006, I went to France, where I did a PhD on Applied Mathematics in a collaboration framework between Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), Laboratoire des Signaux et Systèmes (L2S) and Université Paris-Sud. In March 22 2010, I defended my thesis.
I did three postodocs at the Laboratory of Food Chemistry in Wageningen University (The Netherlands), the Biocore team of Institut national de recherche en Informatique et en automatique (INRIA) and the team Fermentation Advances and Microbial Engineering at LISBP INSA Toulouse.
Since October 2014, I have been appointed as researcher at INRA in the team MoSAR.
