Introduction:
The layered materials and topological systems have stimulated enormous studies both in the condensed matter and high-energy physics community. Since the discovery of single-layer 2D graphene in 2004, various layered materials have been realized. One of the exciting findings is a new playground for quantum electromagnetic dynamics. In fundamental studies and applications, understanding manipulations on the 2D layered materials become urgent. On the other side, extensive interests focus on the topological materials, which possess gapless topological protected states around boundaries and defects. The topological protected states have great potential in quantum computing. In this workshop, we hope to gather young and senior research scholars to communicate with each other, and hope that more young students can learn relevant knowledge through communication.
