I am an educator. Students of all ages have studied music and foundational academic skills with me. In more recent years, I have also mentored adults looking for support or guidance with teaching or parenting. Many of the pages on this website include links to sites that I recommend to my students.
In searching for images for my lessons and templates for planning, I have often found myself spending a lot of time and being disappointed. Poor quality, cost and/or copyright protections have been frustrations. Added to these frustrations was the act of trying to keep track of the various websites that I found useful - bookmarking them didn't allow for annotation.
For these reasons, I created a resource bank with images and templates I have created, as well as annotated bookmarks for frequently used websites. Because this resource bank became fairly large, I created a website - Rocky Mountain Melodies - to organize my images and templates. The site is linked on the resources page.

If the student exercises his reasoning powers only, he will be deficient in imagination and taste, in fervid and impressive eloquence. If he confines his attention to demonstrative evidence, he will be unfitted to decide correctly in cases of probability. If he relies principally on his memory, his powers of invention will be impaired by disuse.”
