               Student 1: 

It was a pleasure taking Prof Q's class. Despite teaching a 7:25am class, he was always in high spirits and taught at a very manageable pace.      

               Student 2: 

Endless enthusiasm! Dr. Q really tried and succeeded at keeping the class actively engaged at 7:30AM- not an easy feat. He was incredibly prepared before each lecture and was able to provide his real-life insights on the subject matter through his research. Overall, I cannot emphasis what a pleasure it was coming to his class; his efforts should surely not go unnoticed.

               Student 3:

Dr. Q is a very patient and conscientious instructor. Every class he will give us "a little humor" which really helps us to remember the knowledge in class.

The instructor was very knowledgeable, and he really cared a lot for the students. He is one of the best professors in the ISOM program.

               Student 5:

Dr. Liangfei Qiu is one of my favorite professors. He was so nice, and he knew the subject matter very well. His methods of teaching were very good.

               Student 6:

This professor was great!! He was so kind and caring. I could tell that he wanted to be there and teach the students which encouraged me to stay focused and enthused about the subject as well. I also loved his morning humor. It was a little nice touch :)

               Student 7:

Truly cares about students and wants to make sure each student truly understands the material as well as implications. I learned everything I should've been taught in this course's prerequisite in the first 2 weeks of this course. He is without a doubt one of the best professors I've had in the ISOM program. Keeps class interesting and wish I would've had him for other classes as well. He takes time to clearly explain concepts and also adds some humor in order to make class a little more fun.

                Student 8:

Professor Qiu is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and caring. His modern teaching methods helped contribute to the success of the course. He lecture notes, practice questions, and quizzes help reinforce the course materials. On the first day of class, Professor Qiu surveyed the class to better understand each student’s backgrounds and see what the students wanted to learn. After the midterm exam, he surveyed the class again to obtain feedback on how the course was going and see what else the students wanted to see more from the class. Not only did Professor Qiu took the initiative to obtain feedback from each individual student, he also made it an effort to incorporate the student’s feedback into the rest of the module. Professor Qiu responds to emails very quickly and offers additional office hours to students. He definitely goes out of his way to make sure that the students are learning the material! There are not many instructors that are willing to go the extra mile for students. 

                Student 9:

The course is relevant and helpful for my career track. Professor Qiu did a great job in putting together the materials for this class: 1) Detailed explanation for class topics 2) Relevant current events and videos that ties to the class topics 3) Adequate sample questions to help facilitate further understanding of course material I can tell that Professor Qiu puts in a lot of time and effort on his teaching materials. When I attend his class, I feel like I am attending a professional database workshop. I learned a lot in this class and this is because Professor Qiu is a great teacher and he knows how to teach!

                Student 10:

Professor Q was very enthusiastic about the material which contributes to learning the material. The videos that he provided were very relevant and helped connect the dots with the material and the real world.

Dr. Q's enthusiasm for the subject matter was evident. He is also very smart and obviously knows a lot about current Data visualization, BI, SQL, database management techniques. It was also good to have a teacher that was so willing to help outside of class.

I think Dr. Q did a really good job teaching - the powerpoints are easy to read and helpful, his class lectures are relatively interesting and his desire to know what students want to learn is really motivational.

Dr Q's printed material is the most beautiful slides I have ever seen. Ever time you read the slide you will feel happy and confidence because the slides are colorful and help you easy to understand the lecture.

                Student 14:

Dr. Qiu is extremely friendly and willing to help in any way he can. He also tries to provide a multitude of opportunities to apply the class material in real world situations outside of class, such as providing us with external links and videos through email to review and connect with the class material. I really liked this. Excellent course, excellent instructor. Dr. Qiu is an asset to the ISOM department here at UF.

                Student 15:

Inclusion of videos on Data Analytics and big data greatly increased the interest in those subjects and gave us an idea on what exactly to look forward for in future. Also, Dr.Q's approach of asking us what we were looking to learn from the course and ensuring that to cover what we wanted, was a very new and great way of ensuring interest of students.

                 Student 34: Professor Q is a caring, passionate, and inspiring instructor. His class notes are easy to comprehend and follow. He also incorporates a lot of interesting and insightful current events into the class (such relevant news articles or videos). Professor Q is very helpful to the students- always asking to make sure that we have fully understood the in-class materials. He also responses to student's email promptly and will host additional office hours prior to midterms and finals. Furthermore, he also adds in a lot of in-class quizzes and practice questions to help reinforce the material that we learned. This was a great course and I enjoyed the topics covered in this class. The textbook was a great choice for the class as well.

                Student 35: Dr. Qiu is very knowledgable on the subject and communicates the lessons well through his lectures. He answers questions happily and has the right balance of lecture, video, and quiz.

               Student 59: Professor Qiu really seems to care about the course and the students in his class. I think the greatest quality is his commitment. It is clear that he has gone over the slides and practiced his lectures because he never misses a beat and never gets confused or lost when discussing his own content. He is also incredibly responsive to students. I had to email a couple of times and I received responses within minutes. I think it's a great course. Seems like something that may actually be useful in my future career.

               Student 60: It's evident when you first meet him that he really cares about his students. He goes above and beyond to help you understand whatever you don't get. He also shows some great videos that serve more than just to kill time in the period; they actually add value to what we are learning.

               Student 61: Always seemed to be happy and excited to teach the course. Took his time to answer in detail the questions that were asked to him. The teacher did a great job at making this topic interesting especially with his use of humor on the slides.

               Student 84: Always smiling, has very a very detailed way of teaching, always asked the class if we had any questions, adjusted teaching style slightly after mid-term survey, and he cares about student performance. Course taught me so much. Made using mySQL and MS Access so much easier. Thank you for an awesome semester. I hope I have you again.

               Student 95: Great examples through slides. All the given material was in depth and easy to understand. Everything was laid out in a good manner.

He made the course extremely interesting and I feel like I actually learned something for the long-term.

              Student 109: The instructor seemed to truly care about the student. What the student was learning and very much tried to ensure the student understood how the content of the course related to real world applications. The instructor was very calm, spoke with a good pace and tried to introduce some humor to the classroom, all of which were very much appreciated. The videos in class and provided in emails were all pertinent to the course content and of good length and provided a wealth of information and ideas (keep them coming!).

             Student 110: Dr. Qiu has this aura of teaching it the interactive way, and I really like it.

             Student 111: He was always welcoming to students' questions and provided with a very positive feedback.

             Student 112: Very nice, able to assist whenever needed.

             Student 113: He cares a lot about his students and really enjoys teaching us. These are very evident throughout all of his lectures and I really enjoyed this class! I wish I could have him again next semester.

             Student 114: His class is really relaxed and helpful. He uses a lot of jokes in class, I like his teaching style. He raises many examples in the slides that can help me further understand the abstract concepts. The slides are well organized. I like the test after completing the slides. It helps me remind the knowledge I learned before and contribute to the final exam. The professor is really helpful and nice to students. I rank him as my top favorite professor during three semesters.

            Student 115: Always seemed excited about the material and found videos to show us real-world examples.

            Student 116: Professor Qiu is a very nice person, very respectful with students and he works hard to make the process of learning SQL more fun.

            Student 117: Instructor is humorous and easy to follow. He gives students all the necessary tools to be successful in the course. Very applicable skills learned and enjoyed the class.

            Student 118: Love your humor! You are such a good professor that focuses on students' need.

            Student 119: Enthusiastic behavior, a little humor in every class and clear explanation of concepts.

            Student 120: Dr. Qiu organizes his lectures very well so the class is very interesting. The in class practices and quizzes were very helpful in learning. He also introduced extra articles for reading each session. The introduction to data mining and stata was very useful. If you take one of the sessions from relational algebra and add it to stata (for example some practice with stata) it would be great.

            Student 121: I love that the professor tries to incorporate humor into every class as well as educational videos to show why the information we are learning is relevant to us and the business world. One of my favorite courses in the program and the professor was a huge reason for that!

            Student 122: Professor Q was very enthusiastic about the course and was very engaging. He provided lots of practice material both in class and out that really helped facilitated learning. I enjoyed the humor and interesting, yet relevant videos he incorporated into his lectures. Exams were very reasonable and correlated well with the practice material he provided. Overall, I had a great experience with this class because of Professor Q. 

           Student 123: Professor Q is one of the most caring professors I have ever had. I could tell he really cared about his students and their success in the course. He provided a lot of opportunities to practice and review the information. I liked that he included real-world uses of data and analytics in every class, even if these things weren't tested in our exams and projects. Usually, his slides were very clear and easy to understand, even when going back over them later. His teaching style is methodical and logical, and I had no trouble grasping the material.  I really enjoyed Professor Q and would recommend him to other students. I wish I could take another class with him. Great professor and a great experience!

           Student 124: Friendly professor, approachable and a pleasant personality. Clear, Concrete, Concise, The instructor is really a happy-go-lucky and a cheerful person. He should continue being the same that will make his future students enjoy the class the way we did. BEST PROFESSOR FOR ISM6216. 

           Student 125: Overall an amazing instructor!! Amazing, all of the examples on the slides are very helpful in studying for the exams and understanding the material. One of the best professors I have had!!

           Student 126: Professor Qiu is very helpful, friendly and concerned about our study. He gave us lots of quiz practice, which are very helpful.

           Student 127: He knows to treat students with respect. He is very dedicated towards his course and his students which in turn makes every student do his/her best in every class and exam. Materials are easily understandable. Very well prepared notes for the course. It is perfect. Let the professor keep doing his great job.

           Student 128: Professor is very kind and understanding. We need more professors like this who really care about their students. 

           Student 129: He was very passionate about his subject. I really enjoyed the course.

           Student 134: The instructor was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He was always going above and beyond to keep our interest and show the relevance of what we were learning in class. This course was relevant to my major and interesting. I feel we could have packed more SQL in as I felt it was pretty basic. Overall, good class.

           Student 135: Great videos very useful materials. Best Course. 

           Student 136: He genuinely cared about the students. He is such a friendly person and, for that reason alone, most of the students in the class were respectful and cooperative.

           Student 137: He is nice and helpful. He cares about the students and is always willing to answer any of your questions.

           Student 138: Professor Qiu is honestly one of the best Professors I have had in the program (after having completed 20+ credits hours in graduate school and completing undergrad here). Qiu works hard to make the subject both interesting and fun to learn. I have been a UF student for 5 years now and Qiu ranks amongst one of the best Professors I have had to date. I have taken many classes and left feeling like I did not get much out of the class. This is not the case for Qiu's class. He is exceptionally fair, high energy and is always encouraging. He truly wants his students to do well, and takes every effort to prepare his students not only for exams but for the work force after graduation as well. Thank you Professor Qiu.

          Student 139: Great professor, always positive and wants all his students to learn and succeed. Useful course, the class was taught at a good pace and the professor provides different materials to make sure each student is learning effectively. Keep teaching the way you teach! One of the best courses I’ve taken in ISOM.

         Student 140: He didn't make it boring like a lot of other professors do. He constantly tied it back to real world scenarios. Plus starting with a joke every class always kept the mood light. Great course. 

         Student 141: The fact that Professor Qiu gave candy and included humor in his lectures and genuinely cared made a huge difference. Very useful course, I liked how we learned relational algebra first before learning SQL. You would be the perfect professor if you made your exams open notes, otherwise there is nothing else I can say that you can do to improve. Professor Liangfei is one of the best and compassionate ISOM professors I have had to date. 

         Student 142: Very clear in terms of goals and outcomes of the course and teaching those topics very clearly.

         Student 143: Dr. Liangfei is very helpful in class and helped to answer all of our questions inside and outside of the class. Great teaching skill and powerpoint. Thank you for teaching this course.

         Student 145: Very enthusiastic and funny. Included lots of examples. Very straightforward.

          Student 147: Use a lot of examples to explain the problem, and teach us the process step-by-step.

         Student 149: Professor is extremely knowledgeable of the subject matter and seems to care about students. I learned a lot and think I will use the skills learned in this class going forward.

         Student 150: he was good at explaining in an organized manner using powerpoints.   it is a great, well-structured course. I would recommend. Overall , professor Qiu is great at teaching this subject.

          Student 151: He is very enthusiastic about the topic and does a good job of teaching the course. 

          Student 152: He really cared about us as students and if we understood. I liked that he reviewed the material at the beginning of each class. Video clips in class were nice to see real world applications. Course has useful material. Helped us understand SQL better than previous class. Great professor! Truly kind and cared about his students.

         Student 153: Very interested in making sure we knew the content, sought feedback, and was engaging. The slides were a valuable resource. I particularly appreciated when he made them available prior to the class so that I could make notes on them. He explained a few things we'd covered in prior courses that I found confusing, and they just clicked when we discussed them in this class. A real treasure.

          Student 154: Professor Qiu is a great professor. He really cares about the students and makes sure that we are engaged with humor and fun videos throughout the class. 

          Student 155: Dr. Qiu's friendliness and passion for the subject retains the attention of students. He teaches in a stimulating manner by using different mediums for learning such as slides, videos, and in-class practice worksheets which are very helpful for exam studying. One of the few classes I actually look forward to going to.

         Student 156: Prof. is very clearly passionate about the course material. He brings a little humor to the class which is always nice. I like how well made his slides are, you can always follow along and learn. 

         Student 157: Dr Q stood out to me out of all the professors in this program because he genuinely cares about teaching his students. His teaching style is encouraging and facilitates learning, which fosters better understanding and respect from his students.   This one of my favorite classes I took in ISOM, and it primarily has to do with Dr Qs encouragement and encouragement with his curriculum. 

        Student 158: Reviews lecture topics from prior classes to reinforce learning. Provides lots of examples in class. Provides meaningful homework assignments.

        Student 159: knowledgeable and patient in answer students' questions. The knowledge and skills introduced in this course are very clear and helpful.

        Student 160: Using a combination of interesting videos, inserting humor, as well as a traditional lecture all helped to grab and keep the attention of the students in the class. Amazing! Professor Qiu motivated me to learn more about relational algebra and databases and the way he structured his projects made it very clear about what he wanted presented. Not only that but the instructions were easy to follow and also helped us learn about Microsoft Access. Very well thought-out. This has been my most enjoyable group project by far. You're awesome! Really hope I can take another class from you in the future! Best professor I've had in this program.

         Student 161: Amazing attention to detail and a true concern for the success of the students. Dr. Q really wanted us to succeed and it showed. Also, he truly cares about the feedback of the students and how we saw the course. Lots of helpful and entertaining material. In class examples and videos helped keep the course relevant. Amazing module with this Professor.

          Student 162: Professor Q is very passionate about the subject and keeps class interesting and engaging. I enjoyed this course and learned a lot from it. I loved all the videos presented in class!

          Student 163: He has great humor and shows great examples to illustrate relevant topics. He also shows great care for students.

           Student 164: I thought professor was very kind and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the professors enthusiasm and willingness to help.

           Student 165: The consistency of each lecture was helpful. I also found that the quizzes helped reinforce learning. quizzes.  Excellent professor - I truly enjoyed your lectures.

           Student 166: He is clearly interested in the subject and does a great job of explaining things. He made everything really easy to understand. Really enjoy the humor and explanatory/extra videos about topics. It is a good course and the material is well spread out and explained. The professor is super nice and makes an effort to make the class interesting and understandable.

           Student 167: He makes the class very fun. Puts more effort than the average professor into making the content interesting. Great class! I really appreciate your effort!!! Good job!

           Student 168: He thought the exact materials that are on the exam, giving a good structure to study for the exam and succeed in this course. His passion was for the subject matter was refreshing and helped keep the attention during difficult subjects.   This course was great for reinforcing SQL skills. They built upon previous courses and cemented that knowledge in my brain, making me confident in performing these activities post graduation.

            Student 169: Professor was really passionate about the course and made learning the material easy. The handouts and in-class courses were super helpful when taking exams.

            Student 170: Professor Liangfei cares greatly for the students and subject matter. Great course, great professor.

            Student 171: He was very enthusiastic about the topic and made coming to class fun! I think he did a great job and made himself available to students and always communicated office hours if you needed help.

            Student 172: Amazing professor, seemed to genuinely care about students, made material interactive and funny connecting with us. He really put forth great effort on his slides and gave us in class sample questions to further check our understanding, overall one of the best classes I've taken throughout my 5 years at UF.

           Student 173: Loved the light hearted powerpoints that helped keep class entertaining. I think this course teaches valuable material and the quizzes/ handouts really helped to ensure we were on pace with the material and understanding the concepts. Really enjoyed having you as a professor. It makes all of the difference when your professor is as genuine and caring as you were. Thank you for everything this semester!

           Student 174: Professor Qiu is very passionate and resourceful for this course, and it was easy to realize that he prepared a lot to help us understand course material easily. He gave sufficient supporting materials such as in-class quiz and practice to help us better understand. Professor Qiu was also good at stimulating our interest in the course - funny before class humor was my favorite.  

           Student 175: He communicates very clearly and uses engaging videos to keep the course relevant. SQL is a very great skill to have, so this course is very applicable to really any business entry level jobs that involves using data.

            Student 176: Very enthusiastic and interesting view on how to teach the course. Good amount of quizzes and assignments that help learn the material. Printed materials and quizzes/assignments were helpful.

            Student 177: Professor Qiu is very patient during and after class, extend the related content beyond the course which helps us gain more during the lecture.

            Student 178: Outgoing and funny, tries to relate to students and make learning fun. Adds humor into the material.

            Student 179: Prof Qiu is very accommodating of his students and ensures that all queries are resolved promptly. Course materials were to the point and helpful in learning the subject matter.

            Student 180: Outlines the objectives very clearly so it is understood what exactly it is that we need to know for the course. Provided many examples and practice problems that we could refer to when studying on our own and in class.

            Student 181: He was very encouraging and did his absolute best to ensure that everyone would do well in the class. This course will be very applicable in my full time job. Best professor I have ever had. He makes class fun. 

            Student 182: Professor Qiu is great, the little humor every class give us a nice beginning, and the practice at the end of class is a good way for us to review the class! Great professor! I like database because of professor Qiu!

            Student 183: He cares about the coursework, so his excitement shows in his teaching. It makes it easy to learn from him. He is very well-put together and it shows in his preparation of materials and slide content. Thank you for a great class! You made learning this material very enjoyable.

            Student 184: His commitment and excitement on the subject really creates a great learning environment.

            Student 185: I thought that the usage of many examples was very helpful. I thought that these were some of the best slides that I have ever had in any class. Very easy to follow along both in class and at home. You can tell that a lot of time went into making them--thank you!

            Student 186: He made class very enjoyable and fun to learn new topics that would normally be not too exciting. I thought it was a very informative and useful course for the outside world. Great job! He kept us very engaged and made learning fun.

            Student 187: One thing which makes classes interesting is the inclusion of descriptive videos .. Thank you professor one of the best classes so far.

            Student 188: Dr. Q is very nice and obviously cares about both the course content and what the students take away from the course.

             Student 191: Humble & caring & thoughtful: Dr. Q delivers a very humble message that he's dwarfing himself to anyone else, which is a personal state without ego, so he can be extremely caring for his students. He carefully examines his students' behaviors and make his lectures perfect in details. Thoughtful/Considerate: 1) Dr. Q provides abundant course materials for students' study, and his after-class greeting email with updated slides not only shows his earnest attitudes toward improving his teaching but also students' better reflective skills through review; 2) Dr. Q's lecture brings visual and audio entertainment in consistency. Deep/Philosophical/Profound/evoking: Really admire Dr. Q's teaching philosophy in a way that he applies data visualization to explain correlation, causality, and the intangible or unknown answer which makes things happen. Teaching style is evoking and inspiring for students for it can stimulate students' inner curiosity. It is a great course with deliberate preparation. I wonder how much time Dr. Qiu has put on it for all the class quizzes counting for attendance, exam preparation practices, in-class practices, mid-term and final exams. Each course material is well-prepared and designed for students' better learning experience.

             Student 192: Dr. Qiu is very knowledgable and enthusiastic about SQL. Not only does he spend time compiling relevant videos and graphs, he also sends articles out to us after class relevant to the course. I really enjoyed this class because of him.   Very applicable in the real world, SQL knowledge is important for ISOM majors to know.

              Student 193: He is very passionate and kind. It was a little difficult but the instructor was great.

              Student 194: Passion and kind, caring the education and try to understand how students learn. 

              Student 195: Very excited about the course material and happy to be teaching.

              Student 196: Instructor is very enthusiastic and has a lot of energy towards the subject.

              Student 197: Very interactive course and engaging professor. Really has a good process to ensure we learn the material.   Very informative and interesting course - largely because of Professor Qiu's enthusiasm.

              Student 198: Very enthusiastic and provided lots of useful examples. I thought it was great. I especially enjoyed the practice questions towards the end of class.

              Student 199: The in-class practice questions were extremely helpful. I also like all of the examples used. Really interesting and easy to learn.

              Student 200: Dr. Q is one of the nicest, most thoughtful, most generous professors I have had during my 4 years at UF. He places great emphasis on making sure all his students learn the course material and is always available to help assist in difficult concepts. I have thoroughly enjoyed the course. It is engaging, positive, fun, and I look forward to coming to class. Thank you for being such a great teacher!

The course is structured effectively and the slides are truly useful. Throughout the course the profession provides practice problems to prepare us for the final exam. Great work!

                    Student 206: Explanation and recaps of previous classes were very helpful.   The course was very informative and insightful. Everything was fine. 

                    Student 207: He gave us a lot of practice questions to work with so when it came time to study for exams, we had plenty of material and examples to study from.   Definitely a relevant course for what I will be doing in my career. It was a pleasure! Thank you Professor!

                    Student 208: He is a very dedicated professor that puts a lot of effort in his classes, prepares a lot and it is willing to answer questions and work along with the students to make sure we understand the class. Dedication, professionalism, very clear and concise. The course was helpful for me, specifically to put in practice again my SQL skills. Overall I am very happy I took this course.

                   Student 209: The professor cares for his students. He meets with them and answers questions quickly. Thank you for being enthusiastic about the subject matter, caring about your students, and making this subject easier to learn than other professors!

                  Student 210: Every interesting concepts are introduced in the classess; benefit for future data analysis strategy.

                  Student 211: The professor has a good sense of humor and is interested in the subject matter. He explains things well and also gives great examples. I think this course is great. I think the medium in which is was taught is an accurate representation of how it would be in the real world.

                 Student 212: Very kind and responsive to students. Always made sure he gave clear instructions and made sure we understood them. The class was very structured and organized. this made learning and studying very easy. The professor also provided a lot of practice problems which were very helpful. The practice problems and homework assignments were good practice for the exam and were very helpful. 

                 Student 213: The instructor is very passionate and enthusiastic when teaching the course content. They made it very enjoyable and engaging to come to class each day. Love that they placed humor in each of the lectures.

                  Student 214: Professor Qiu cares about his students success which is one of his major strengths. He plays videos that are useful to the class content and he adds humor to his lectures. He is one of the most interactive professors I have had and I appreciate his teaching methods. I appreciate that he genuinely cares about his students. He puts a lot of effort in to make sure his students are well taken care of and can understand the material.

                  Student 215: Very enthusiastic about the material being covered. Material could have been very difficult to follow along with if it weren't for Q's thorough examples and videos used throughout his lectures. Kept class interesting and fun. Handouts were also very helpful in learning the material and testing your knowledge.

                 Student 216: The instructor was very passionate about the subject matter and brought that enthusiasm to the classroom each and every day. He used videos, humor and real–life examples to help facilitate learning.

                 Student 217: I enjoyed all the inspiring videos provided in class. I especially appreciate professor Qiu spending time building up our data analytics mindset, such as understanding the difference between correlation and causality. In addition, prior to this course, i was used to conducting data analysis by dumping data into built–in models and let the model do all the thinking. This course taught me how to think critically and independently.

                Student 218: He was very nice and you can tell he cares about the students. He always included a little humor before class and included interesting videos and worksheets to keep us engaged. He also provided some short recaps before going into new content.

                Student 219: Dr. Qiu has a strong sense of responsibility. He is very patient and keeps tracking students' reaction and advice to his lecture.

                 Student 220: Good practise questions in each lecture so that we are prepared for exam.

                 Student 221: Explain the difficult contents very detailed.

                 Student 222: Mr. Qiu will prepare a little humor and interesting videos for every class which is worth expecting and also helpful to the course contents.

                  Student 223: He takes the time to explain all the concepts learned. It is also nice how he puts what we are learning into perspective. The assignments and review of the assignments have helped me greatly. 

                  Student 224: The instructors was extremely organized and prepared. Responded to emails incredibly fast and was available to students when needed. Lectures and assignments prepared us well for the exams.

                   Student 225: Prof.Qiu is a very careful and patient man.

                   Student 226: Enthusiasm, connecting material to real–world examples.

                   Student 227: The instructor explained all the topics clearly and was a great help in all doubts related to each and every topic.

                   Student 228: Knows content very well, communicates expectations well with students.

                   Student 229: Very knowledgeable about the topic. Explained things clearly. Really liked how communicative he was with the class. Frequent emails to tell us what was going on and to keep us on track. Considering everything going on in the world right now, this made life a little easier. Learned a lot about SQL in this class. Very fair instructor. Happy to have had him teach my class.

                  Student 230: He was very knowledgeable about the subjects and promptly responded to questions and concerns.

                   Student 231: Dr. Q is very knowledgeable on the topics taught and clearly cares about his students. This encouraged me to always put forth my best effort in his course.

                    Student 232: Enthusiastic, funny, and cares about students. I really appreciated that the class was so structured. Great professor!

                    Student 233: Dr. Qiu gave multiple thorough examples in his lectures, and they were very helpful in learning the material. I really appreciated that the examples he did in class were equally or more difficult than the problems on the homework assignments and exams, so we were well prepared.

                     Student 234: He combines knowledge with humorous pictures or stories, which make the class more interesting.

                      Student 235: Dr. Q explains concepts very well. He did a great job teaching even with the pandemic switching his class online. I don't remember one time that he was confused on how to do something on zoom. Great job overall! I also think learning relational algebra really helped me to feel comfortable writing SQL queries.

                      Student 236: The instructor explained concepts very clearly and his powerpoints were good references to look back on.

                      Student 237: Incorporated videos to engage students, very knowledgeable. 

                      Student 238: Very well–structured, recaps what we learned from last class which helps in learning.

                      Student 239: Dr. Qiu was very enthusiastic about the course. He is very intelligent and knowledgeable in this field and clearly enjoys teaching.

                      Student 240: Very detailed, very easy to understand in not–that–easy topics. 

                      Student 241: Really good slides! I could always refer back to them when I had trouble with homework. In past ISOM classes I had to rely on my notes, which made homework more difficult. I also loved that a homework assignment and group project was done in access. This is more experience relevant to my field than I've had in any other ISOM class.

                      Student 242: He knows what he teaches. His presentations are clear and he mixes different topics to avoid being monotonous.

                      Student 243: He was very enthusiastic and provided several different outlets for learning. 

                      Student 244: Great adaptability for the online transition. 

                      Student 245: Professor Qiu is very knowledgeable about the topic he is teaching and his passion and hard work really shows within the effort he puts into his lectures and emails sent out. He will go out of his way to record lectures for students who have busy schedules and also send interesting current event articles involving the course load. He is quick to respond on canvas and provides excellent feedback on any questions you may have about the class or issues with the software.

                       Student 246: The professor is very patient for any question and he is very erudite that I can learn a lot from him.

                        Student 247: Liangfei is rare in the fact that he actually wants to see his students succeed and teaches in a way to make that happen. He is very understanding and was able to adapt quickly to the new online format.

                         Student 248: Enthusiasm for the course was highly appreciated. great group project very interesting and easy to work with other people on.

                         Student 249: He is very enthusiastic about this course and has accommodated well to the changes of the semester.

                         Student 250: Mr. Qiu made the lectures informative but entertaining. He would open class with a joke to start the day and then dive into the material.

                          Student 251: Professor Qiu was extremely knowledgeable on course topics. When I went to him for assistance in office hours, he was patient, calm, and helpful in answering my questions.

                          Student 252: The course was very organized. Topics and instructions were very clearly explained and covered. Perfect about of exams and assignments.

                           Student 253: Professor Qiu was very personable. He explains the material very well. You can tell he cared about his teachings. I also loved the little humor in his presentations! He was transparent with his goals and expectations, so I was able to focus on learning.

                           Student 254: The instructor responded quickly to emails and was always willing to help students inside or outside of class.

                            Student 255: Professor Qiu cares a lot about his students and their success in the class. He always has a positive attitude and includes relevant videos about data analysis to increase our engagement and understanding of the course. I looked forward to attending his courses more than my other courses.

                            Student 256: The best professor in UF so far.

                            Student 257: Very dynamic in his methodology. You see the practical use of the class in real life examples.

                            Student 258: Having practice questions at the end of the lecture is helpful. I also like how the instructor discusses all the assignments and exam questions in detail after submission.

                            Student 259: Professor Qiu is very intelligent and well–versed in the topics we went over. His knowledge helped him clearly convey the information to us. He was also always available to assist us if needed. Professor Qiu is a good guy and a good instructor.

                            Student 260: He explains the material very well and does not attempt to trick you on the exam. They are straightforward but also test your knowledge on the topic.

                            Student 261: The instructor is erudite and kind.

                            Student 262: Flexibility and quick response times with good explanations of math concepts.

                            Student 263: Professor Qiu's enthusiasm for the material in the class makes it enjoyable to learn. He explains the logic behind the concepts really well and provides a lot of practice that makes you feel more comfortable with the material.

                           Student 264: He is very informative, providing us many useful materials. Very professional and enthusiastic.

                           Student 265: He knows the subject matter and the material very well. This makes it possible for him to explain it to us in different ways in which we can understand. He was also very flexible with his schedule and considerate about inconveniences caused by COVID.

                           Student 266: enthusiastic and very efficient with explanations.

                           Student 267: Best professor in the ISOM program. When he explains complex topics, he doesn't just do one example and then move on. He gives you multiple examples with various situations that allow you to understand how the problem functions as a whole. This helps to contribute to us actually understanding the material, not just memorizing. Can explain complex topics concisely. Doesn't overexplain, many profs do this and it contributes to more confusion. Prof Q explains problems in simple yet understandable ways.

                         Student 268: Professor Qiu does a great job of weaving media learning with powerpoint lecture in order to break monotony in the course and keep attention high.

                         Student 269: The instructor was able to incorporate current real world events to clarify uses for concepts taught. that was a nice touch. 

                         Student 270: Professor Qiu was extremely passionate about this topic. His enthusiasm for this course made a huge impact on my learning experience on the course. I appreciated the additional articles that he provided for supplemental reading. I also appreciate his thorough feedback on our projects. It was insightful and useful.

                         Student 271: Professor Qiu actively tries to keep the class engaging through interesting videos and adds values through suggested interesting articles. I appreciate the interest he has in the subject matter, and how he tries to share that with us. Thank you Professor Qiu!

                         Student 272: Professor Qiu is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the topic. He always gives examples to the topics he is discussing to enhance understanding.

                         Student 273: Dr. Qiu answered question, concerns, or comments from students promptly and respectfully. He demonstrated interest in his students' success in the course.

                         Student 274: The instructor had a well thought out plan to build upon his teachings. 

                         Student 275: I liked that he always started the class with a joke; it made me more engaged in the course. I also enjoyed that he sent out additional readings that were for fun, along with uploading several lectures that were not required and strictly for if we wanted to learn more. I appreciated that because it made it obvious he cares about his students and wanted us to get the most we could out of the course for our future careers.

                        Student 276: Enthusiastic about the material. Provide several additional, useful resources like videos and other articles.

                        Student 277: His humor impressed me and made me feel easy to learn this course.

                        Student 278: Professor always makes sure to give real life examples and that is really helpful for understanding the concepts.

                         Student 279: Going over example questions and explaining them was very useful for learning the material. Fair assessments that were difficult but holistic in covering the material.

                         Student 280: I like the humor at the beginning of class and the powerpoint slides are very useful for studying later.

                          Student 281: Professor Qiu is one of my favorite professors in the ISOM department. He is very passionate about the course topics, and provides many examples of each type of problem to ensure the best understanding for the students. I have enjoyed both classes I have taken with him: Database 2 and Data Analysis.

                          Student 282: cared about his students strongly. Lots of sample questions to engage and was always on top of his stuff.

                         Student 283: Dr. Q has a passion for the course topics and teaches with enthusiasm. That makes the course more enjoyable and easier to participate in. "A little humor" makes my day.

                        Student 284: Knowing that your students need a recap of the previous lecture, so you provide one at the beginning of each lecture. Knowing what your students need to succeed and following through is a huge strength.

Student 285: Dr Qiu was very good at explaining difficult concepts. I loved the humor at the beginning of every class.

Student 286: Incredibly enthusiastic about this topic. Helped me feel more engaged with the material and assured me if I had any questions/concerns, he'd be willing and able to help. Frequent video/real life examples of course material in use. Professor was readily available for assistance and often asked students to email him with any questions

Student 287: Loved the slides, the humor before class starts and enjoyed the course.

Student 288: I liked that he did a little review at the end of class. The videos played during class were also nice.

Student 289: Instructor used real life examples to help with explanations. Instructor stuck with a few examples and built upon them as we went throughout class which helped my understanding of what was going on.

Student 291: Very enthusiastic and helpful when explaining topics and examples.

Student 292: Professor Qiu is excellent at pacing the course and his lectures. Every lecture had a manageable amount of information. He was also very prepared for each lecture and I found the practice problems he would send out for lectures to be instrumental to understanding the material.

Student 293: Professor Qiu does a great job at keeping the students entertained. He uses educational videos to tie in the class material to real world examples. This makes the information easier to retain.

Student 294: Our professor was very understanding, when we asked for feedback on our presentation he listened and helped us figure out what we could do better.

Student 295: He was very available to us to explain material in class and in office hours.

Student 296: Professor Liangfei is the best data professor I had throughout my Master's career. He is so helpful and very accommodating to students who have questions and any confusion. I personally come from a non–business background and had a very difficult time transitioning into courses and curriculum for my Data Science track, but having Professor Liangfei as my professor has made me greatly appreciate my track and the ability to grasp the subject. If he reached any more data science classes I would gladly take them!!

Student 297: Passionate about subject, very open and available to help students.

Student 298: Positive environment, kind teacher, readily available for questions. Also, I've taken 2 other classes that had sql. This was my third class and first time I started to actually understand from his assignments and teaching.

Student 299: He is extremely intelligent and is passionate about the subject. He wants everyone to succeed without making the class too easy. Overall he was a great professor.

Student 301: The humor in class and quick response time to all of my questions over email or in class.

Student 302: I really liked your powerpoints and the way you explained relational algebra and SQL queries; I did not quite understand SQL until your class!

Student 303: I can tell the instructor is very passionate about the course and knowledgeable about the material. He also did a good job of offering a lot of material for practice which was very helpful as well.

Student 304: Learning relational algebra really helped me understand how to visually see how I should be building my queries in SQL. Great pace in the class, did not go too fast to where students would get lost in the content. Thank you. 

Student 305: Liangfei is probably one of the best instructors I have had in this program. He made class enjoyable and taught in a way that made me understand the hard topics we were learning. He really cared about us succeeding and actually learning. I feel like I finally understand how to use SQL now (after this being the third class that introduced it to me). The material was relevant and he broke it down in ways that it was easier to grasp. The way he structured what we learned was great.

Student 306: He has the ability to created amazing PowerPoint presentations. There are to the point, easy to read, organized in a way that helped me understand the material better, and nice visualization.

Student 310: Professor Qiu is a sweetheart, he genuinely wants the best for his students and is willing to go above and beyond.

Student 311: Professor Qiu is very knowledgeable in the field and takes a lot of time to prepare his presentations for class. He is very responsive to emails, and is willing to help out.

               Student 312: It was obvious that Dr. Qiu is passionate about statistics. Students want professors who love their profession and their subject area. Dr. Qiu did a great job at redirecting students to the question at hand and telling students who may need actual help to see him during office hours instead of wasting the entire class's time for a private tutoring session.      

    Student 313: The course is well organized, all the materials are easy to find. Thanks to Professor Q

                        Student 314: Dr Qiu has a great way of pulling real world examples from you tube that deliver the point of that day's class.

                        Student 315: Dr. Qiu was enjoyable to learn from. His lectures included current videos with topical information to help aid in our understanding. I enjoyed learning how to use stata and using data sets to uncover information. I understand this was probably not a broad course to teach but Dr. Qui was still enthusiastic about the material. He also was very patient when we asked bad questions, which I appreciate.

                       Student 316: Adding humor and videos keep me engaged through out long lectures.

                       Student 317: I really enjoyed all the relevant humor and videos throughout the course. Dr. Qiu provided us with multiple examples and ways to relate the data to the 'common' person.

                      Student 321: Dr. Qiu is highly knowledgable in his subject area and presented a lot of interesting information in the course. I liked learning about Stata.

                       Student 322: Very engaging classes! Loved the use of videos to go over topics. He is clearly super respectful and nice. I really enjoyed the class overall. He's great!

                       Student 323: Professor Qiu was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and helpful. He taught the course with patience and understanding and I valued having him as our professor.

  Student 324: Integrated good supplementary videos mid presentation that helped reinforce learning concepts. Always had a great attitude while teaching and was very reasonable in his expectations and flexibility with the class.

Student 325: – Helps cement material through video examples – Detailed review of course material – clear expectations for success.

Student 326: Dr. Qiu knows how to engage his students. He has the best examples to ensure you retain course material. I really enjoyed his teaching style, he has been one of my favorite professors in the master's program. Dr. Qiu is very good at explaining, and is always very attentive to his students.

                        Student 327: The instructor made sure to be available if students had any questions throughout the module. The professor gave assignments to reinforce the material we learned in class. 

                        Student 328: I was lucky enough to have Professor Liangfei for my ISOM courses. He always goes above and beyond, especially with his time. Professor Liangdei will respond quickly and is always willing to discuss any questions that a student has regarding exams or general practice. I come from a non–tech background so I had to face a steep learning curve but having a professor who tries his best to relay information and is willing to meet outside of class because of all the questions I have is, at least on my behalf incredibly appreciated.

Student 329: The combination of videos and explanations helps us to understand the content.

                        Student 335: I believe that Professor Qiu was very enthusiastic and had a good sense of humor. I liked that he always started the class with a joke or funny meme because it lightened the mood of being in a lecture and got the course off to a good start. He also was very good at explaining information and providing examples to enhance my understanding.

Student 337: Professor Qiu is very responsive, understanding and would assist in case of anything.

Student 338: Liangfei is my favorite professor in the MSISOM program. He keeps up a good attitude in every class, incorporates humor and interesting videos into the lectures, and still manages to keep the focus on the subject that we are learning. He clearly gets across the important points in the course.

                        Student 340: Great attitude, very friendly and understanding, great at explaining things. I knew going into this class that it would be a positive experience.

  Student 341: Dr. Q. was very engaging and responsive to any questions presented. 

                        Student 342: The instructor was extremely enthusiastic and kind towards his students. He was very pleasant and I would certainly take another course with him in future.

                        Student 343: This is the second class that I have taken that Professor Qiu has taught. I think he is one of the best professors in this program because he actually explains the material in a clear way and gives lots of practice questions to make sure we understand the meaning. His exams are fair, not too hard, not too easy.

  Student 344: He knows what students need and teaches practical skills.

                        Student 345: Very good at breaking things down and explaining them. Also good at re explaining things again that we previously learned.

 Student 356: He was very passionate about the topic of data analysis and I like how he brought humor into each of the classes. He also explained everything clearly.

Student 358: The professor ensures to provide detailed explanations and always works with students so that they understand the topics.

Student 359: He is definitely an expert with the material and explains very well. He defines clear expectations for assignments and exams as well.

Student 360: Professor is very nice and engaging, he sends little newsletters on relevant happenings within data & business or academia which is very thoughtful of him. He is very patient and enunciates his speech so I don't have a problem with his accent.

Student 363: Good energy and explained concepts well. Great balance of class instruction and practice material. Also very responsive and helpful.

Student 364: The professor was very knowledgable and enthusiastic about the topic. He also kept the class entertaining through images and videos.

Student 365: The instructor cares about the course and wants to help us learn. He is a great communicator and has clear expectations.

Student 366: Dr. Qiu is a really smart person and is very knowledgeable about statistics and data science. His real world examples on how data science is used in industry are always very insightful.

Student 367: Very clear about what would be on exams and explained the material very clearly. This class was a valuable educational experience.

Student 368: Strong communication & overall positive demeanor! I felt engaged the whole time, even though the course was online/asynchronous. The way the material was divided up, the examples used, and the recaps at the start/finish of each video were all amazingly helpful and conducive to learning.

Student 369: I feel that Dr. Q was passionate about the topic, and really wanted to foster an environment where students could learn and understand the material. The format of the class was best for my success. Statistics can be a difficult topic to understand but the way that the professor facilitated the class was great. The group projects were wonderful because it allowed each student to earn from another's understanding. Instead of "figure it out yourself" or "just read the textbook".

Student 370: Dr. Qiu professional and his presentations recapped material from previous lectures. Dr. Qiu also did a excellent job with various example types for students to practice. Outstanding overall !!

Student 371: Dr. Q was clear, efficient with what was required for us to know, and clear in lecture. He was also available almost any time to meet with someone. He never made anyone feel like there were stupid questions. His positive and respectful attitude made this course – something I would not personally have independent interest in – interesting and beneficial for a future managerial career. His incorporation of 20 minute breaks was amazing. He distributed the course learning requirements/ grading metrics across several assignments which helped me learn. Also – LOVED the video clips that illustrated the "why" of what we were studying!

Student 372: Methodically walking step by step through difficult concepts. Not rushing. Ability to explain a problem, solution, and methods to achieving the solution in many different learning styles.

Student 373: Dr. Qiu LOVES statistics and it shows through his enthusiasm in lectures and the materials he sends out after class. He is responsive and is very clear in his expectations.

Student 374: Dr. Q is clearly knowledgeable in the coursework and was able to provide constructive feedback in regards to the case study, which included data and analysis he had not yet seen before.

Student 375: Professor Qiu is very passionate and caring about the course content. He's clearly experienced and knowledgeable. He's also very kind and understanding and one of my favorite professors so far to cohesively teach data techniques. He has many strengths and I value each very much.

Student 376: Great ability to relate material to relevant and interesting problems and examples. Passionate about topics which carries into teaching.

Student 377: Liangfei Qiu is definitely one of the best instructors I've had in the ISOM program and I think he should be used as an example for other ISOM instructors. You can tell he puts a lot of time into this lectures and provides great, real world examples that help students understand underlying concepts and apply them in new situations.

Student 378: I thought that Professor Qiu was a really strong lecturer. His class slides and lecture were good notes that helped me prepare for assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams. He was great at sending announcements, answering questions timely, and engaging students during lecture.

Student 379: Instructor is highly competent in the course content and could use is extensive research background to explain data analysis in the context of research as well as business.

Student 380: I liked this overall course and I very much enjoyed the examples that professor has bought to class to explain concepts. They are very interesting.

Student 381: He is enthusiastic about the course content and obviously well prepared. He can answer questions quickly and accurately. He explain everything clearly. He enriched every lecture but not boring.

Student 385: Instructor is very knowledgable and enthusiastic about the topic he is teaching. His enthusiasm, expertise, and excitement drives active learning and a positive learning experience as a student. Another impressive strength of instructor is his enunciation and speaking. Though it is clear English is not his first language, I understood and was able to follow him better than I have most other professors, including those whose first language is English. It is clear the instructor takes pride in his communication skills and making sure his students learn well from him, which is a lot more than can be said about other professors.

Student 386: Dr. Qui was very enthusiastic and knowledgable about the course. You could tell he cared about his students and always offered time outside of class to help if we didn't understand something. He was one of the few teachers I've felt comfortable talking to which says a lot about his character and professionalism.

Student 387: Deep passion for his research in the field and desire to help students understand the technicals in the course.

Student 388: Dr. Q provides a great breakdown of all the topics and makes it easier to understand such complex topics.

Student 389: Professor explains concepts very well. I also appreciate that the tests are an appropriate assessment of our understanding of concepts as opposed to memorization.

Student 390: Instructor is so enthusiastic about the course content and teaches it in a way that is so engaging and student–friendly.
