Q: During the service, the gauge on the BG PXT® shows a lot of pressure. Will this amount of pressure hurt the machine?
A: No. While in bypass, the gauge on the BG PXT® only reads transmission pressure. During the service, the gauge is showing machine pump pressure. The machine will only put in as much fluid as it can get out. This results in no additional internal pressure to the transmission and will not hurt the machine.
Q: Does it matter which way the hoses are connected to the vehicle?
A: No. The machine is equipped with a ball valve that corrects the flow. Refer to step 5 of the Pre-Service Instructions in the BG PXT® Reference Manual.
Q: Why do the scales read negative when I empty the machine?
A: The machine is designed to read negative when it is emptied in order to remove as much fluid as possible from the tank.
Q: Are there instructions on how to install the PXT Update Kit, PN PXT-031?
A: Yes. The instructional video to help you with the installation of the PXT-031 kit can be found here: http://bgfor.me/pxt031
Q: If a vehicle is equipped with a transmission thermostat, will the BG PXT® open the thermostat?
A: No. The BG PXT® will not open a transmission thermostat. The vehicle will have to be up to temperature for the ENTIRE service or the thermostat must be bypassed.
Q: Can the BG PXT be used on heavy-duty vehicles?
A: The BG PXT is designed to be used on vehicles that produce less than 100 psi.
