METAL Cockpit N

This is my new metal cockpit design (Steel Square Tube 4cm x 4cm x 2mm). It is a simple but powerful design that will offer all the necessary functions to ensure a comfortable upright driving position and accommodate drivers from at least 1.6 to 2 meters tall. I'm going to build this model in order to test and improve it before I proceed to issue a construction guide.

In addition to the unparalleled rigidity offered by the metal frame, there will be adjustment for the distance of the pedals and the seat from the steering wheel, which will also be adjustable in height and inclination angle. This cockpit provides the ability to add an adjustable keyboard holder and a mouse combined with a gear shifter and even a handbrake. It will be possible to attach a monitor stand, also.

I intend to create a construction guide that makes it possible to build the model even by not so skilled DIY amateurs. My big concern is how widespread welding tools and techniques are among DiY makers... and whether this kind of projects are sustainable.
