September 2013: Initial Ground Works
The ground preparation work took a significant amount of time and effort by a number of people ... including weeding, scarfying, tining, top dressing, and seeding.
October 2013: The Fence
We wanted a fence of a high quality an improvement on the two shown below.
The grass area to be used as the putting green has been delineated by a low timber post and rail fence (900mm high) with a mesh infill. This will deter casual walkers and dogs from crossing the green and define the play area where all clubs and balls should remain within. Unfortunately, some dog owners have no thought for children and their families who will be playing in the area. The the fence is of high quality and was the standard for local authorities for many years. It was not cheap and uses high quality materials.

June 2014: Kiosk
The Kiosk is the payment point for anyone wishing to play and be used for the storage of balls, clubs, hole markers and pin flags.
We wanted a high quality permanent Kiosk.
The Kiosk (square with sides of approximately 3.0m) has a pyramidal hipped roof which is is commonly found and associated with seaside esplanades. There have been small buildings and shelters with a similar form in earlier times at Prestwick esplanade. The Kiosk has been kept as simple as possible and is designed and was constructed to form a robust building to stand against the exposed climate of the site. To withstand potential vandalism all doors and windows will be protected by integrated recessed shutters.
The Kiosk quickly rises
