Electronic Waste

Consumer household batteries, light bulbs, computers, laptops, eReaders, and cell phones create waste each year for PSFC members. The PSFC sells some of these items and therefore the PSFC Environmental Committee feels motivated for education and waste management of these items.

Large hardware stores such as Lowes or Home Depot offer collection boxes for batteries and light bulbs, as shown in the photo below from the Lowes in Brooklyn.

If you want to dispose of my laptop or cell phone:

1) Throw them in the trash. They are EPA certified for landfill disposal.
