What is "Prosperity By Pen"?

“Prosperity by Pen” is a term I have created. It can take many shapes. As broadly defined, it is the idea that benefit can be realized by simply (without proper regard for any other factors) signing government stimulus bills and other interventions (including bailouts, low-cost loans, job-creation programs, government guarantees, etc) ostensibly providing the economy with the needed “boost” until a return to sounder economic footing occurs.

I find the concept chimerical for many reasons…In many ways it purports to create benefit (economic prosperity) in a fashion that is too easily attained.

As you have probably guessed by now, my naming the site “Prosperity By Pen” should reflect some sarcasm and irony.

This site contains my opinions. Some may find my discussions on this site to be provocative in nature, as my opinions are unique. My philosophy is to form opinions off of my analysis, and to present those opinions. There can be no assurance that these opinions are correct, especially since the topics discussed are of vast complexity.
