The group is composed of Prostate Cancer Patients and carers. A committee is established to provide focus and direction for the Group and to help meet agreed goals and group objectives, including ensuring the financial stability of the Group and its future. The Group provides mutual support by discussing common problems, treatments and their developments, and beneficial therapies in an informal atmosphere.

Aims

• To provide a forum to enable patients and their carers to discuss mutual problems and to hear the experiences of other patients.

• To supplement the information given by Consultants, Doctors and Hospitals.

• To update knowledge and learn of recent developments in treatments.

• To provide advice and information for recently diagnosed patients and their carers.

• To offer further advice on where to go for further help or re-assurance on Prostate Cancer.

• To foster an informal and relaxed atmosphere, and improve through occasional social activities.
