  • In 2017, he was ranked the 2nd most productive (normal count; one spot behind Viswanath Venkatesh) IS scholar in the world for publishing in the top-6 journals and ranked 2nd for the top-4 journals–all between 2012–2016; for the 10-year period between 2005–2016, ranked 5th in the world for the top-6 journals and 6th (tied with Ritu Argarwal) for the top-4 journals.

  • On December 15, 2019, as awarded at ICIS 2019 in Munich Germany, Paul was selected in the inaugural group from the Association for Information Systems, as “AIS Distinguished Member, Cum Laude”
