  • PBSES is not a curriculum, but a process of planning and problem solving that includes direct teaching of social behaviors just like academics are taught.
    • Most importantly, it establishes ongoing behavior support that can be used by ALL students, staff, volunteers, parents and community members

Our vision for PBSES is to promote:

  • ➢Respect
  • ➢Positive Relationships
  • ➢Predictable, proactive learning environments

…..so that students can lead socially and emotionally safe and healthy lives.

The Soaring Eagle traits Respectful, Responsible, Safe and Kind our at the heart of what guides PBSES at Maple Hills.

  • Your students receive Soaring Eagles when they are caught displaying these traits at school.
  • Their soaring eagles are used to earn individual, class, and school-wide rewards.
  • Students are taught the expectations of every area in our school three times a year.
  • The expectations are also posted throughout the school.

Maple Hills also has a Community Support Team that meets monthly and is dedicated to improving PBSES in the school community.

Attached you will find a sample of the newsletters that are sent out to the teachers on a monthly basis.
