My research focuses on the relationship between Catholic, Jewish, and secular culture in modern and contemporary Italy.
My Ph.D. dissertation “Judaism and Catholicism in Italy during the Belle Époque: A Comparative Approach” (Fall 2015, Duke University) compares the attitudes of Italian Jewish and Catholic intellectuals responding to the process of secularization and modernization coinciding with Italy’s national unification.
I am also interested in blended and online learning.
