Barrel Racing at the Petaluma Riding and Driving Club
At the Petaluma Riding and Driving Club (PRDC), barrel racing is a highlight of our equestrian event lineup—an electrifying, fast-paced competition that brings together riders and horses of all ages and abilities. Barrel racing is a classic rodeo-style event where a rider and horse sprint around a cloverleaf pattern of three barrels in the shortest time possible, showcasing precision, speed, and seamless teamwork between horse and rider.
PRDC hosts barrel race nights for member and non-members alike on our grounds in Petaluma, inviting local competitors and spectators to enjoy the thrill of the run under the lights. These events are part of our vibrant community calendar, blending western sport with friendly camaraderie and fun for the whole family. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or a newcomer to western speed events (including lead line), our barrel races offer a welcoming atmosphere to test your skills, cheer on your favorite runs, and share in the excitement of equestrian sport.
Join us at PRDC’s barrel racing events to experience the heart-pounding rush of the arena, connect with fellow horse lovers, and be part of a long tradition of equestrian excellence right here in Sonoma County.
