Our website is back up and running!
Congratulations to the PRDC Entry in the Petaluma Butter 'n Eggs Day Parade. We won 1st place!! We had an awesome entry, a mounted Junior group in front, with a colorguard, then an awesome float, then more mounted Senior riders with banners and horses being led in memorium, and a wonderful pooper-scooper cart with Picaso, the mini horse in harness! It was spectacular!!!
Everything is gearing up for the summer season. The lower arena sand has been spread, the upper arena is prepped for our show season starting this weekend, and the sorting pens/cattle chute are getting the finishing touches. C'mon on out and have a great time!
Don't forget cattle practice nights start next week for our members.
Please see the PRDC's Events Link for Current Events, Flyers, and a list of 2015 Events.
Many thanks to our sponsors and members for all of their donations and hard work. We still need lights and sprinklers to completely finish the lower arena project.
Donations are much appreciated!
The Petaluma Riding and Driving Club (PRDC) was originally founded back in 1939 with just a handful of members and a small piece of property. 2014 marked our 75th anniversary, making ours one of the oldest clubs in the area. We are located on 10 acres of beautiful rural Petaluma. Our facilities include 2 lighted arenas, a round pen, ranch sorting pens, and a full-size clubhouse with a commercial kitchen.
There are club activities year round for every horse enthusiast ranging from trail rides, our annual tack swap, horse camping, play-days, horse shows, cattle events, trail challenges, and cowboy dressage. During the summer we have "members-only" week night practice sessions with cattle that include cutting, team penning, and sorting. There are also monthly cattle events open to the public.
PRDC is also known for our awesome cooking! Our annual crabfeed in January is "out of this world" fantastic and a great way to start your year. March hosts the Chili cook-off and silent auction with some amazing competition chili. July gives us warm summer nights to celebrate and enjoy our steak bbq & lawnmower races. And our junior club celebrates October with a fantastic pasta feed & cake auction.
There's always something fun happening at PRDC! Check our calendar of events.
