Below are steps for ANY student to take in order to be successful and passing math this year:
Ask Questions during class! Why wait until later?
Pay Attention AND Participate during class. Ask questions while you got me!
Turn in work on time. Do NOT turn in work late. Late work means you are behind. You cannot win a race if you are behind.
Turn in work before deadlines. After the Unit test, late work in that unit is not accepted.
Turn in Late / Redo work during class work time.
Correct any assignments turned in on time that is not up to 100% (Student's only have to fix errors in their homework and I let them bring up their homework grade) Students may correct their work.
Stay up to date with Khan Academy or any work. More Khan Academy info Click here.
IMPORTANT: Tests & Quizzes: Raise a non-proficient quiz or test score. (Click here for the Test/Quiz Corrections page) Formative and Summative Assessments are worth most of a students overall grade.
This raises your grade the fastest!
IMPORTANT: Study for Quizzes & Tests.
Use your advisement time wisely getting work completed. Do NOT waste time on playing games on your chromebook or socializing.
Ask questions!
Don't ride the "Tri-2 Slide!" What is this? Students tend to get lackadaisical during Trimester-2 due to the holidays, breaks, and becoming more comfortable with middle school. Many students become more social than academic during this time. Hence their work ethic suffers.
Oh yeah, did I mention: Turn in your work on time and ask questions.
