These month-by-month lists were compiled by Alan Gould (PPA and Eastbay Astronomical Society) as ideal objects to view with an eVscope, ES Astro 53 Pro, Seestar, or other "smart scope" at a public star party.
To see what constellations are in the sky and where, use a sky mobile app, an oniline planisphere such as What's Up Now, a physical planisphere such as David Chandler's, or make your own planisphere with interchangeable star wheels, especially the Messier star wheel that helped in creating these monthly celestial object lists.
It's best to read a planisphere with a red flashlight as is the custom of amateur astronomers. You can use your phone as a red flashlight with an app such as Color Flashlight (Android) or iOS apps, NightVision Light, jLight, Flashlight.
