When renewing your PPA membership, first check the PPA Membership List below to see your membership expiration year (1st column). 1-year, 2-year, 5-year, or Lifetime renewals can be made and the expiration is adjusted relative to the year that the payment is made after it is confirmed by the PPA Secretary/Treasurer.
Donate to the PPA for projects such as Mini Grants.
Joining or renewing is a 2-step process:
1. Pay dues using the "Add to Cart" button (credit card or PayPal) or send a check ($15/yr, $180 lifetime), made out to Pacific Planetarium Association Inc. to the PPA Treasurer (our convenient self-mailer has the Treasurer's address on it).
2. Provide information using the PPA Membership Update Form. For renewals, check your information that is already public in the List of Members below.
Benefits of membership include:
PPA Google Group <ppa-email@googlegroups.com> for occasional important email notices as well as a way to communicate with and ask questions of other PPA members.
Support for the quarterly online journal Great Western Observer.
Annual conferences, quarterly members' zoom meetings, and collaboration with other planetarium regions.
Planetarians' Zoom Seminars hosted by PPA, held nearly monthly.
PPA Mini Grant program awarding thousands of dollars annually for projects that benefit planetariums, with PPA members having preferential consideration in the award selection process.
Most importantly, it is your way of being a professional in your field and joining in with colleagues from throughout our region in the western U.S.
