Main research items:

· Single Particle Extinction and Scattering:

I developed and patented a novel scattering technique to study micrometric and submicrometric particles. Applications have been in nanotechnology, nanomedicine, atmospheric physics, paleclimate and industrial metrology.

· X-rays wavefront characterization at synchrotrons and FELs.

I developed several techniques for measuring spatial and temporal coherence of wavefronts emitted by ultrarelativistic electrons. Applications to characterize electron beams are on going. Collaborations with ESRF, DESY, ELETTRA, LNF, ALBA, CERN.

· Instrumentation for research in microgravity

- 2008-18: Instrument Scientist for the experiment COLLOID (ESA)

- Development of an instrument installed aboard the Space Station (COLLOID).

- Realization of several optical demonstrators for ESA

· Development of innovative instrumentation in collaboration with and in charge of national and international research entities
