It's been a busy few months...

..for the Polizzi group.

We had 3 undergraduate students, Marius Rebmann, Elliot Medcalf and Jennifer (Zhao) Ding for over 2 months. During that time we've also been joined by Oskar Lange and Charlotta Behrens on the Applied Biology and Biotechnology Masters until August.

Sadly, we've said goodbye to Linda Dekker and Kate Royle and wish them well on the future endeavours.

Rochelle goes to Parliment

Rochelle Aw was awarded a place at STEM for Britain 2017, where early career researchers present their work to MPs. Rochelle presented research on using yeast to produce anti-HIV vaccines.

Annual Autumn Symposium and Book Launch...

The Institute's Autumn Symposium closed yesterday the 15 November 2012. The two day event brought together an array for researchers with interests in the fields of Systems and Synthetic Biology. The sucessful event saw many informative and inspiration talks, culminating in the book launch of 'Synthetic Biology - A Primer' (Authored by are very own Karen).

Next years symposium will hopefully be as much fun, details of which can be found on the institutes website. But if you can't wait till next autumn the Sixth International Meeting on Synthetic Biology (SB6.0) will be hosted at Imperial in July 2013.
