The Post Oak Education and Charitable Foundation, Inc. was founded by Dr. and Mrs. Chester and Priscilla Mummau and their children, Andrew, April, and Amy in June, 2007 for the purpose of raising funds to provide financial assistance to middle school students who wish to attend a summer camp or academy or fund an enrichment activity of his or her choice. Dr. Mummau was a former teacher and assistant principal at William Wetsel Middle School, and a former principal of Post Oak Middle School before serving as superintendent of two Pennsylvania school districts.
Dr. and Mrs. Mummau are graduates of Madison County High School, which receives Wetsel Middle School students; Andrew and April attended Wetsel Middle School, and April and Amy attended John J. Wright Middle School, the predecessor to Post Oak Middle School.
Recognizing that the middle school years are years of great physical, emotional, and social change for young teens as they strive to find a life direction for themselves, this foundation provides opportunities to youngsters to enrich their summer as they pursue an area of interest to enhance their knowledge, skills, and experiences.
