PLT materials are available by participating in a workshop,

or can now be purchased online at www.plt.org.

Project Learning Tree® (PLT) is an international program that works with tens of thousands of teachers each year, giving them award-winning environmental education curriculum materials and training to help them weave the environment into their everyday lesson plans and take their students outdoors to learn.

As more and more children are disconnected from nature, they need to learn what our environment provides and what it requires to remain healthy and sustainable for the future.

PLT teaches students how to think, not what to think about complex environmental issues, and helps the next generation learn the skills they need to make informed choices about the environment.

All activities are field-tested by teachers, reviewed by experts, and are correlated to the Virginia Standards of Learning.

What Teachers Say: "I’m leaving this workshop with a better idea about how to be more interactive as a teacher, keep my students engaged with hands on activities, educate students about the environment in an exciting way, [and] integrate the outdoors into education."
