Research interest

Hi! I'm Éloi, PhD Student in my last year at Dynadiv Team. I am currently working on the visualization of pangenomes applied to plants (african rice, banana, wheat...) and eukaryotes in general. I am working on finding visual representations for pangenomes scalable to hundreds of genomes and the creation of tools supporting said representations. After working on the representation of pangenomes as presence/absence matrices of pangenomic blocks (see "Panache: a web browser-based viewer for linearized pangenomes") I am currently investigating structural variations in genome graphs.

Coming from a biology background, I have been seduced by bioinformatics and then fell in love with data visualization (datavis) during my MSc2 internship. I am willing to further work on biovis / datavis in the future and wish to make datavis better known and understood among researchers.
