Research interest
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher with a strong passion for evolutionary biology, specializing in genomics and bioinformatics. My research primarily revolves around the topics of structural variation, recombination, and sex chromosome evolution.
In mid-2021, I obtained my Ph.D. from the Université de Montpellier, where I was affiliated with the ISEM lab and collaborated closely with the University of Maryland (Washington). During this period, I investigated the genetic basis underpinning sex determination in Nile tilapia, an African cichlid fish.
Since early 2022, I have been a postdoctoral researcher at IRD, where I am dedicated to unraveling the intricate relationship between recombination and structural variations, using rice as a model system.
My academic journey has been enriched by diverse internships, covering a wide array of subjects and species, including studies on the maintenance of polymorphism in butterfly colors, gene flow between cultivated wheat and wild relatives, understanding plant tolerance to heavy metals, and researching pesticide resistance in mosquitoes.
