Muncie has a poverty rate of 30.4%. Data shows that 40% of Muncie households are off the housing affordability ceiling of 30% of thee income.
Muncie Habitat tries to remedy to a part of the issue by serving working families whose income is 30-60% of area median income to offer them a decent yet affordable home.

Greater Muncie, Habitat For Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat For Humanity International (HFHI). HFHI is a nationwide organization that serves low income families to help them access home ownership.
