This page features work and research done for PLAN 582, the Grant Writing class of my Urban and Regional Planning Master's program at Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana.
My first assignment is to look for a non-profit organization in Indiana that will act as a grant receiver for this exercise.
I chose "Greater Muncie, Indiana, Habitat For Humanity" as my grant receiver because of my interest in affordable housing and on the housing for the poor issue in general. The foundation awarding the grant is Ball Brothers Foundation.
The second assignment is a request for funding for a Science Playground program within Muncie Children's Museum from the ING (International Nederlanden Groep) Foundation.
The third assignment addresses federal grants writing. I picked a request of proposals for the organization of a Study of the U.S. Institute on Global Environmental Issues in Ball State University. This cooperative agreement is sponsored by the Department of State and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
