The house is marked on the map of Fowey below. The main road into Fowey goes down a steep hill; at the bottom of this where the road bends right, take the left turn and then immediately bear right; continue bearing right, round a tight bend as the sea comes into view and finally up Pikes Hill itself. Pikes Barn is the only house on the left hand side.
By Cornish standards Fowey is fairly accessible by both road and rail. The nearest railway station is Par, with regular trains to and from Bristol and London; a taxi to Fowey from the station is inexpensive.
By car, you will almost certainly enter Cornwall on the A30 from Exeter/Okehampton or the A38 from Plymouth. From the A30, turn off the main road following signs to Lostwithiel and keep a close eye on signposts through several consecutive junctions. On reaching the A390, turn right and then quickly left onto the B3269 to Fowey. From the A38, take the A390 signposted St Austell at a roundabout by Liskeard, drive through Lostwithiel and then take the B3269 to Fowey as above.
The postcode (for satnav) is PL23 1JF.
