I & R Morley Machine I & R M 2337

Shawl frame J&RM 2337.

The first number stamped on the machine is J&RM 2337.

John & Richard Morley (1799-1860) the founders of I & R Morley.

This second number on the machine is now I&RM 2337

which was I & R Morley.

Further number is ES No 77, under which is the remains of an old number plus an obliterated number.

Another number is stamped onto the presser bows is 11T, this is the number of J Buck & Sons Ltd

The jack mould has the full I&RM 2337, the sinker mould is stamped M 2337.

The needle lead mould is marked with the number 2337.

There are two further letters stamped on the machine presser bows pins. The letter W (or a double V) on the left pin.

On the right pin is the letter F.  I have not seen this before, it could have been the framesmiths mark.
