Friends! Enemies! Children of all ages!
On Saturday, August 21st, the Wandering Hands Piano Car + crew will be holding its debut concert followed by a poker tournament!
Saturday, August 21st
16652 SE 15th St
Bellevue, WA 98008
Who we are: The Wandering Hands Piano Bar is a roving piano and orchestra pit built around a Ford F250 pickup. It's a wonderful calamity setting out for Burning Man 2010 on August 26th. We roam the playa in search of musical, spoken word, and singer collaborators, and create and record dynamic collaborations together. Please check us out on our website: https://sites.google.com/site/pianoartcar/home
What this is: The concert and the poker tournament serve at once as a debut, a sending off, and a fundraiser. The entire project was created mostly on out-of-pocket funds of starving artist-type people with part-time or no jobs, so if it strikes you, please donate to the cause! We will of course love you dearly and want your company independently of anything else.
The concert will be held from 1 PM to 5 PM. There will be good music played on, in, and around the piano, lawn croquet in the back yard, tasty food, and good hanging out. Come out, relax, and see the Beast before it takes off on its epic journey to the Burn.
The concert will be followed by a poker tournament. The tournament will run from 6:00-10. Please email me to sign up. The tournament will be No-Limit Hold 'Em; buy-ins are $20 with infinite (optional) rebuys for the first hour. If you've never played but have always wanted to - no fear! There will be a rules and strategy session a half an hour before the tournament. Played before but want to brush up on your skills? Come kibitz with some of our seasoned veterans. There will be at least three cash prizes.
SCHEDULE:
Concert: 1-5
Poker rules and strategy: 5:30-6
Tournament: 6-10
There will of course be space and time and hugs for people just hanging out post-concert and/or post-tournament.
Please RSVP (nafasha at gmail dot com) so we know how many people to expect!
