Physics for Scientist & Engineers with Modern Physics, 4th Edition, by D. C. Giancoli, Pearson, 2009.

Rules

1.  There are one midterm, one final exam, and six lab sessions, with weights midterm 35%, laboratory 15% and final 50%.

2.  Make-up exams will be given to those who have excuses such as sickness, injury and/or serious emergency. Evidence is required to take the make-up exam, such as a signed memorandum from the doctor’s office in case of sickness. Please notify your instructor immediately upon such incidents.

3.  Attendance requirements

• Theory courses
  If you are taking the course for the first time, you have to attend at least 70% of the courses for whole semester. If you have taken FF or higher grade and retaking the course, you do not have to attend the theoretical course.

• Lab sessions
  All students have to attend at least 80% of the courses for the whole semester. Students missing two or more experiments will automatically fail.
