Warnings about the experiments!
Starting with a low range might cause damage or even destroy the instrument (multi-meter). Therefore, whenever you make measurement, start the measurement at the maximum range then decrease the range, and find the most precise range.
Voltmeter must be connected in parallel.
Ammeter must be connected in series.
Black and Red lines between the holes on breadboards represent connections.
We will use Direct Current (DC) in our experiments.
DC power supplies are connected to the circuits through their output terminals. Output voltages range from 1 to 15 volts. Using high voltages may damage your set-up. Start from zero voltage and raise the voltage to the desired value gradually.
You can calculate the value of any resistance by using the color code which is given on the last page of your lab manuals.
Pay attention to the “error bars” at the data points and the “significant figures” on the axes, when you are plotting the graphs.
Keep the power supply off until your circuit is approved by your instructor.
