This site is created for PHYS 103 General Physics I undergraduate course at Felician University. It provides an access to the course content, the lab manual, and selected lecture notes.
We begin the course with an Introduction to basic tools, formulas, and units. Topics include measurement and unites, estimating errors, problem-solving strategies.
The main topic before midterm is Kinematics, which describes motion. Topics include velocity, acceleration, relative motion, projectile motion, and circular motion.
Dynamics is a part of mechanics that deals with forces. Topics include Newton's Laws, gravitation, centripetal force, work and energy, linear momentum.
In the last section, we take a closer look at Rigid bodies and fluids including wave propagation in various media. We finish this class with learnign about sound.
