Abstract

R is a professional programming language widely used in statistics and data science. However, its interface of R can be intimidating for liberal art students. This talk will demonstrate how a simple R cell embedded in MyOpenMath to perform all essential statistical functions. Both teacher and students can see the result after submitting answers, making it a great tool to engage students in the learning process. Participants will receive a copy of statistics questions with R to use in their own classroom.
