With all powerful technologies nowadays, instructors can guide students to apply materials in Statistics for real life applications. When doing such project, students not only have a deep understand the concepts but also learn how to apply what they learn to do things in life. Designing a spinner game is an example. This project can help students to use the concept of theoretical probability, experimental probability, the law of large numbers and expected values to design a game for a fund-raising event. Instead of introducing the above concept and formula in a lecture, students can discover these materials while doing this project step by step.
In this talk, attendees will participate activities leading to completing a project of design a spinner game. Participants then can get the template of the project to use immediately.
