A Tribute to my Beloved Dad

I remember the first time that you took me to visit London and the good time that we spent on our European trip. I thank you for not leaving me in the UK to study by myself because I was too young at that time.

I thank you for sacrificing your precious time to help me to study during my school days in Hong Kong.

I thank you for giving me the opportunity to study in the UK when I was much older and for taking the time to pick me up from and drop me off at the airport for all my vacations.

I remember the good times that you took us to Uncle Ronny's boat and we had such a fun time with our cousins almost every Sunday.

I remember the first time that you took us to Japan on a ski trip.

I remember the fun time that we had when we visited China.

I remember that you come to New York and drove to Ithaca with Philip to attend Perry's graduation from Cornell University.

I remember that you also attended Penny's High School graduation from Dana Hall, Boston.

I regret that you did not attend any of my graduations but I do understand that you have other important obligation to handle. I promise myself that I will attend all of my daughter's graduations if possible.

I wanted to thank you and mother for taking care of me during my back surgery and for coming to the hospital everyday to see me. I remember the good time that you celebrated your birthday during my stay at the hospital.

I remember that you self taught yourself German, your passion for Peking Opera and of course your favorite sport Tennis.

I thank you and mother for hosting numerous birthday parties for me especially the one in Park Hotel, Hong Kong. Many of my cousins came with their parents and we had such a great time.

I thank you for letting me taking Tennis lessons even though Tennis is not my favorite sport.

I thank you for supporting me for my undergraduate and graduate studies.

I thank you for coming for my wedding reception.

These are my own special memories of you that I will treasure forever and thank you for sharing them with me.

For me you are my perfect Dad and no one else can do a better job than you. I am lucky that you spent so much of your time with me. I am not the perfect son but I try to be the son that you always wanted.
