CAID is a national level organization that serves a purpose similar to what PESDHH provides, but at the state level. Similarly to PESDHH, CAID is undergoing a "metamorphosis." In recent years there has been a need for a Professional Community of TODs and to meet the demands of the shifts for teachers in the field; CAID has been working on building strong and relevant trainings and resources for deaf education teachers and service providers.
Recently, CAID rolled out a resource called the Workload Calculator, which helps TODs determine the weight of their caseloads. They've also begun a Deaf + Autism Special Interest group which meets monthly. To learn more about these projects and more, check out the CAID website! www.CAID.org
Supporting Success for Children with Hearing Loss began in 2011 with the goal of creating an ‘umbrella website’ for teachers of the deaf/hard of hearing. Supporting Success was built on the concept of making practical information readily available, resulting in the current resource-packed website. https://successforkidswithhearingloss.com
The goal of The Online Itinerant is to build community and provide training, support, and resources for those who are passionate about meeting the needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
