It turns out that when you eat, in relation to when you exercise, is important in maximising your body's fat burning ...and it's different for men and women.
The BBC programme "Trust me, I'm a doctor" recently presented some research, and conducted an experiment to investigate this notion. The results are very interesting.
For women - it is better to eat before an exercise session and to not eat within the 90 mins after exercising:
For men - it is better to not eat within the 90 mins before an exercise session.
The difference in the amount of fat burnt is significant!.
