This August 20th-22nd the excellent Beglika Fest will be back again for another action packed episode of sheer enjoyment. The fine folks from aliveplaces have teamed up with Beglika to bring together ecological projects throughout Bulgaria at the fest this year and Permaship has been invited. We are really looking forward to it :)
What will we be doing?
Library Tent
Sit back ,relax and browse through the great selection of books we will have on display under the comfort of the Permaship Tent and if its raining you can take cover in the Tipi . We will also have a small selection of permaculture books available for purchase at very competitive prices.
Lectures
We will be holding lectures on various topics throughout the fest including talks by
Paulo Burrell (formerly from Centre of Alternative Technologies) on sustainable energy development
Dimo Stefanov from WasteNo More Farm on commercial worm farming
Sava Chankov freelance journalist (latest article Light ) will be talking about permaculture design and principles and micro urban permaculture gardening
The talks will be in Bulgarian and English and will go on for about 30 minutes after which will be open for questions
Demonstrations
For anybody interested come along to our practical demonstration on how to build your own worm farm and learn how to start breeding worms for your house or apartment. The worms will turn your organic waste (i.e kitchen scraps) into one the best fertilizers for your plants. And you can pick up a bag of worms from us to get you started as soon as you get back from the fest :)
