SNaPS Google Calendar address for subscribing
Want to save yourself some time?
There are a number of ways you can import events from the SNaPS calendar directly into your calendar software using the calendar address above:
Subscribe through Outlook 2010
Subscribe through Outlook 2007
You can subscribe to your calendar posted on Google Calendar. An Internet Calendar Subscription keeps your Outlook copy of your Google Calendar updated. Outlook periodically checks the Google Calendar for updates, and if any are found, they are downloaded to the calendar copy in Outlook.
Copy the Web address for the desired calendar at the top of this page using CTRL-C.
Note Do not click the link. If you click the link, the calendar will be opened in Outlook as a Calendar Snapshot which is not updated.
In Outlook, on the Tools menu, click Account Settings.
On the Internet Calendars tab, click New.
Paste the Internet Web address you copied in step 1, by pressing CTRL+V.
Click Add.
In the Folder Name box, type the name of the calendar as you want it to appear in Outlook, and then click OK.
If you use Vista, you can add it your Vista Calendar using steps similar to those used for Outlook 2007.
Subscribe through iCal
In iCal, go to Calendar > Subscribe. Paste the desired address above into the field and click Subscribe.
Subscribe on iPhone Calendar
In iCal, go to Calendar > Subscribe. Paste the desired address above into the field and click Subscribe.
Import Calendar Events
If you have an earlier version of Outlook, you can import calendar events, but the imported calendar is static. It does not update.
To import the calendar events, you need to go to the calendar's web address:
It will ask you what you want to do with the .ics file. You will want to open it in Outlook.
Subscribe through your online Google Calendar
If you already have a Google Calendar, go to your Google Calendar web page. To add a calendar using its address, follow these steps:
At the bottom of the calendar list on the left side of the page under Other Calendars, click Add and select Add by URL.
Cut and paste the desired calendar address (posted at the top of the page) into the field provided.
Click Add.

If you sign up for your own Google Calendar and subscribe to the SNaPS Calendar, for example, you will now be able to set notifications for yourself. If you want Google to send you an email or a text message (SNS) at a specified time prior to each event, it will.
I personally love this feature! Just select Settings at the bottom of your list of calendars. Click Notifications for that calendar.
Where it says Event Reminders, click Add a Reminder.
If you want to receive a text reminder, you need to Set up your mobile phone to receive notifications at the bottom of that page.
You can only set up one text and one email reminder. If you want to set up one for your son's phone and your phone, just set him up with his own Google Calendar.
