- I'm working on the role of semantic and pragmatic scales in the diachrony of Portuguese and Spanish.
- With Fabio Del Prete, I'm working on a paper about the semantics of the adverb sempre in European Portuguese (e.g. Sempre vou ao cinema na quarta-feira 'I am indeed going to the movies on Wednesday'), Mexican Spanish (siempre) and Italian. This value has been called "confirmative" by certain authors, we have decided to name it "Truth persistence value". A manuscript of this paper can be found here.
- With Chris Cummins, I'm investigating the psychological reality of the distinction between asserted and non-asserted content (especially presuppositions) through a series of experiments.
