Peace Arch Senators Curling League - Association Membership:
We are members of the Peace Arch Curling Club, serving White Rock and South Surrey communities.
Each member of thePeace Arch Senators Curling League is a member of the Pacific Coast Masters Curling Association, and is entitled to vote at any meeting of the PCMCA.
Peace Arch Senators Curling League is a member of the Fraser Valley Masters Curling Association - Zone 2, with one vote on behalf of the PASCL
Membership:
The Senators league is open to men curlers age 55 and over, as of the registration date.
We offer a balance of competitive and fun curling catering to all skill and experience levels!
Many curlers use ‘sticks’, also know as delivery sticks.
Schedule:
8 ends games are played Monday and Wednesday and game times rotate between 9:00 AM and 11:30AM. and 2:00pm (The 2:00pm draw is dependent on overall registration and membership).
The league operates two separate seasons, Fall and Winter with separate leagues on Monday and Wednesday; you can choose to play both sections or only one.
Separate dues are charged for each season.
League Format:
The league is played in a round-robin format.
Fall Section (September to December):
The teams remain together and the overall (Monday & Wednesday) league champion will represent the club in Zone competition.
Winter Section (January to April):
The teams remain together with the top 2 teams of each section (Monday/Wednesday) playing in the Day of Champions windup.
Spares:
A spare master ensures replacement curlers are available.
Players need to inform their skip and email the spare master when you are unavailable.
Please contact the spare master pasparemaster@gmail.com as soon as possible.
Many of our members take vacations during league play and spares ensure full teams for each draw.
Spare only:
If you wish to curl but don’t want to commit to a full time schedule you can join our spare list at a reduce fee.
Bonspiels:
The Senators league sponsors one inter-club bonspiel, skins games and hot shot competitions.
Joint mixed bonspiels with daytime Ladies leagues are also held.
New to the area?
You may register for Monday, Wednesday or both days. Separate teams are selected for Monday and Wednesday play.
Team rosters are selected by committee and you will be placed based on your curling experience and preferences.
You join the league not a team.
